Aw, poor little guy . . . sorry to hear about that. I didn't use any specific refernce photos, but mom had an elderly little dog who steadily deteriorated over the past year - she had an appetite, but couldn't put any weight on) and the drawing ended up looking a lot like that.
This picture reminds me of a friend of mine who died in 1983
of AIDS. He went from a 160 pound hot looking guy to someone
who looked like he'd been born in Auschwitz and was raised in
Biafra. The picture is well done, though with the emotional freight
(for me anyway) it carries makes it not exactly my cup of tea.
Bravo though for doing such a fine job at a rather grim subject.

I like this, I don't really mind that it's not happy go lucky. I have a fascination with art that makes you feel something other than giddy joy.
I was emaciated when I lived with my parents, but never to this extent. The idea of getting this far.. Terrified me, but interests me at the same time.

Oh it's definitely a fetish, just rare. Or it's rare to see it at the extreme.

I think that every person with anorexia nervosa (which is not a true disease, but a state of mind) should be shown this picture and told, "This is what YOU'RE on your way to becoming." If that doesn't cure 'em, absolutely nothing will.

This is interesting because so rarely with fat art involving impossibly obese characters do you see any indication that it's harmful, but here, on the opposite side of the spectrum, you see it all. Makes you think, how many of the extreme fat art lovers are in it for more than just the fantasy side?
