At last, something polished and shiny! This helmet on display in the Kansas Firefighters Museum is originally from the fire department of Sénas, France. I would think that this is meant to go with a formal dress uniform, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the French used something so beautiful for practical everyday firefighting.
