[Food Porn] Hot Orange Toddy 'n Toast!
It's getting to be cold and flu season, so, before breaking out the Nyquil, why not try this easy-to-make variation of a perennial favorite?
Ingredients:
Unsweetened iced tea
Orange Juice
Whiskey (optional) (cognac, brandy, corn squeezins etc. also good)
Nutmeg
Cinnamon Sugar
Buttered Toast
Add one ounce whiskey (optional) to mug.
Fill mug with equal parts orange juice and iced tea.
Microwave for 1:30 - 2 minutes or until steaming.
Garnish with sprinkle of nutmeg.
Serve with cinnamon toast.
Enjoy! Hope that cold feels better soon!

Hee hee hee! Yeah, every kid has a moment at some point where their elders deliver a bit of booze to calm 'em down...
And, believe it or not, there ARE teetotalers out there.
That being said, my toddies have a generous dollop of Jim Beam or Evan Williams to 'em.

This sounds rather nummy and I may well add it to my list of drinks I really should try...
At the first sign of a sniffle, I normally cook up a piping hot mug of milk and a good (and I do mean a GOOD) slug of quality brandy - none of this Greek/Turkish firewater stuff! It probably won't see a cold off, but if you've been more than generous with the brandy, you should get a good night's sleep out of it at the very least!
