- you weren't there, or so the old saying goes.
Actually I do, and I was, and right now I'm in or at the 1960s - specifically the 1960's wing of the Disney Pop! Resort at DisneyWorld in good ol' Orlando Flah. We're staying in a room right behind Baloo's butt, no kidding - http://jimhillmedia.com/mb/images/u.....dscape-web.jpg (Actually it's more like behind his underarm, but he does have such a lovely derrierre...) BTW I find it incredibly interesting they've redesigned Mowgli for this statue to make him look actually... Indian.
I'm here on a post-Furpocalypse vacation with
furio, the person who at the moment (and hopefully for a long time to come) is an incredibly important part of my life. ("Excuse me while I kiss this guy," as Jimi Hendrix never sang.)
Arrived this AM, checked out the even cooler Animation Resort (decorated wall to wall to wall with Disney/Pixar art) just across the Generation Gap Bridge, and tomorrow we start checking out the theme parks themselves; Saturday we're planning to visit... Gatorland!, where with any luck they won't let me leave...

If you're a movie art director, choosing the right typeface can help nail the time period your movie is taking place in.
For examples, in Iron Man 2 Tony Stark is watching a promotional film for his father's 1960's "Stark Expo" - and the logo at the end of the film looks exactly like corporate logos did back in the day. And in Terminator 3 the shelter John O'Connor reaches at the end of the film nails the 1960s Eurostyle look of the period.
