This piece has been sitting on the side for quite awhile now and I'm really really happy to finally get it done. All things considered I'm really happy with the way she turned out! XD Especially after the DAYS it took me to sit and debate on what color to make her dress!!

Bio:
Possessed of a quick intelligence even at a young age, Pleasence Candilly was born to family of Airship Tycoonist and Statesman Barron Candilly and Stateswoman Beatrice Candilly. Due to the positions her family held in their native snowy home, as well as her father's ownership of two steel companies, Pleasence wanted for very little growing up. Being an only child, Barron and Beatrice would constantly fuss over her, ensuring she was always placed in the best schools, had the finest clothes, and as many toys and books as she could ever want. However, fearful of her safety in the world and concerned that she would be teased or antagonized by others her age, Pleasence was incredibly sheltered during her younger years. As a result, Pleasence did not speak until the age of four and a half. Her keen mind ensured high marks in every class she was placed and at a young age she became a tinkerer and inventor after reading the many books she was given. After developing a sensitivity to bright lights, Pleasence designed and constructed her telescoping goggles which she wears to this day.

Despite her swift mind, Pleasance was burdened with a near crippling shyness in her classes. Seeing her problems interacting with others, Beatrice and Barron elected to place finishing school to teach her ways to interact with others in a dignified and lady-like way in the hopes of making interacting with others easier. Over time, the young Pleasence grew better at speaking with others, but never outgrew her shyness and quiet nature despite managing to develop friends. As she grew older she began to look into areas of mechanical science and politics after her parents, increasing the efficiency in one of her father’s Airship design and construction factories. After exhausting her home libraries, and emboldened from continued attempts to get her used to social interactions, Pleasence would routinely go to the local libraries and comb over every book she could find. At first, she would slip out towards evening when most had left the library; but as time went on, Pleasence began to arrive earlier and earlier to offer her longer time to read. It was during this time that local children would come to read and eventually became interested in Pleasence as she was always there, dressed in the finest of clothing. Noting their interest, Pleasence slowly began to take time away from her studies to read to the children and help with their education as she discovered her love of teaching.

At the age of 19, Pleasence took a summer trip that ended in a small fishing settlement that had grown into a town called Pelican’s Bay. She was greeted by simple people who were in a state of unrest from the current Mayor of the Bay’s follies. “Big Bo” Haguesworth was a crooked embezzler of money, showed little regard for the education system trying to take root in the settlement turned town, routinely interfered with the law to suit his own needs, caused many blooming industries to crash to preserve his own interests, and stomped out opposition. Seeing ways to improve the town and having the funds to launch a campaign against the profanity spewing would be mob boss, Pleasence suspended her return trip home, called friends to ensure her own safety, and won the position of mayor of Pelican’s Bay in a landslide victory forcing Big Bo to flee the bay before he could be punished for his unlawful style. Pleasence Candilly has served as a pillar of elegance and integrity, helping the Bay grow ever since.

Quirks: 1. Miss Candilly is very soft spoken and easily spoken over despite her position of power as Mayor, while she can take control of a situation when she has to she normally remains quiet in a situation. 2. To be polite to others and to show respect on a personal level, Miss Candilly has been known to touch noses with people. 3. Miss Candilly has paintings of children hung up in the hallway and her office. The reason is that Miss Candilly adores children and has always loved to teach them. However despite desiring children of her own, her dedication to her work, the duties of being the mayor,and interest in reading and inventing have always ensured that she's never had time to seek a romantic partner.
