A little of both. She adopted the name while she was a bounty hunter in the badlands, way before Gavin was born, when people started calling her the Desert Rose. The only person at that time that knew her real name was Max, Gavin's father.

Sorry for the late reply was sick. Well I assume Kathy has an Irish accent well I was wondering if you could offer advice for a writer why might want to write character dialogue that involves one who may have an accent?

Well, with me, I tend to spend extra time either watching shows or listening to a characters dialogue with an accent similar to the character I'm writing. With Kathy, I have a few movies that I like that take place in Ireland. I've noted some words and letters that are said stronger than others. (Like how the T's are harder, or how fast they say some words and what letters they might leave out.)

I'm still not the best at writing accents, but research is your friend <3
