I think everyone who made that choice had some sort of strong reason for doing so. Mine was more that "I beat you once. I can do it again and again."

Yeah. That battle was so fucking exhausting, and then you're hit right away with such an important decision. XD

part of the reason I took so long making it was because I was angry at the game for making me choose XD

Mostly I'm interested in the Flowey and Asriel fights. Some other channels I watch did Undertale, and that's where I skipped to on them too. Those were the ones that affected me the most personally.

For me, by that point I felt it was pretty clear he was trying to enforce his outlook on everything even though I'd already proven it wasn't the case. Thus, finishing him would do nothing except prove his point, and I'd come too far to give in.

I've seen both paths, plus saw in a video of Undertale secrets that shows that taking the genocide path first will have slight effects on the pacifist playthrough after you've made your new file, though nothing drastic.

It changes the ending enough to matter. If you do the No Mercy path all the way through, then you can never have a happy ending again, even if you do a pacifist run....

Yeah, that is still true, unfortunately... but I used drastic in a loose way. (only recently heard that it was actually called a No Mercy run, don't remember where I heard the other name for that run from)

I really enjoyed watching this run from you man. I understand why your not disturbing the world you have molded into the peaceful tranquility it is now. But i hope thru some means your able to see what else the game has to offer. But even if you don't i hope this game fills you with Determination with the future. After all someday the mouse will get that cheese. And so will you.

I hated flowey - what he made me go through, watching him die after I thought I had found peace at last, and spat my defiance into the face of a nascent dark god, and... didn't kill a foe beneath my contempt. I showed him compassion. I spared his life.

I regretted killing Flowey after my first playthrough... Then the second playthrough made me feel like a complete asshole for it. Really nice piece by the way
