Happy Halloween Everybody!
Things where looking very pleasant for Scooby and his friends in the Mystery Gang as they where heading for something they rarely got to do.
Vacation.
Almost every time they where on some type journey they would either end up helping a close friend or relative with some "ghostly activity", or end up finding something "supernatural" on their way to their goal.
But this time it was different. They had chosen to take a nice autumn vacation in the beautiful German alps, and their journey had been completely ghost free so far. (And even the weather had only been sunny and nice all the way.)
By now they where starting to reach the nice vacation spot they had booked. It was a nice 4 star hotel that laid just at the bottom of mountain that was used as a ski resort, and it was also close to the forest as well.
As they where slowly driving through the local village on their way to the hotel they noticed some St. Bernard dogs wearing miniature barrels around their neck.
"Oh, look at those dogs carrying tiny barrels around their necks." Daphne said.
"Those dogs are trained to help people in need that have got buried in avalanches or lost in snow storms, and those barrels are called "Brandy Barrels" and are carrying warm drinks to help the people in danger to keep from freezing to death." Velma explained.
"With Scooby's size I don't even think a bear barrel will be enough to match his size." Fred mentioned.
"Like, especially since he is carrying a big enough "keg" already." Shaggy said, and patted on his big dog buddy's belly.
Scooby blushed a little over his big overweight being mentioned as part of a joke, but he was okay with it. And the sight of his massive body carrying a bear barrel next to the (compared to him) much smaller St. Bernard's did look pretty funny.
After some more time driving they finally could see the hotel emerging from the horizon, and it looked even better then they could imagine. It looked like an old oil painting with the mountains going up, the deep looking forest, and the hotel placed in the middle of it.
They parked the mystery machine outside and made their way inside. The place was just as nice looking on the inside as it was on the outside. There was a huge bale room, long corridors, and a dinning room that was the best part of the whole place. (At least to Shaggy and Scooby Doo.)
Outside was the majestic ski resort, and the forest provide as a nice place for hiking.
After a day full of funny activities the whole gang was having a big sleep at their hotel bedrooms. All except for one of them.
Scooby Doo.
His massive appetite (That had reached all new levels of hunger since his permanent fat transformation.) had made the Great Dane wake up in the middle of the night, and not able to return to his sleep unless he finds something to silence his rumbling stomach.
Knowing exactly where the dinning room was (And more precisely the entrance to the kitchen.) Scooby carefully sneaked out of his room, and like the most stealthy (And fat) ninja dog ever seen he made his way to the big dinning hall. Only to hear that he wasn't alone!
He could hear sounds of someone (or something) making things fall over, and eating just about anything it could get.
Hoping that it was just some other hotel guest or pet that had just been having the same idea as him Scooby stuck his head through the swing open doors, and almost fainted over what he saw!
He expected a human or a dog, but this was a wolf! And a really big one too!
Scooby knew he should quickly stick his head back out again and tell the others about what was going on, but he could also see a small piece of sausage that had rolled up to him and was within reach.
One small sausage wouldn't hurt, right?
As he was stretching his head forward Scooby could feel how he was starting to lean to much, and before he had a chance to find his balance again his hind legs lifted up in the air, his face hit the ground, and the whole him ended up rolling forward into the kitchen...and right into the back of the wolf!
Looking back in anger the wolf could see a very ashamed and sacred Scooby laying on his back, and having his big belly exposed.
"Uhm...Rhello?" Scooby said carefully.
The response he got from it was that the huge wolf dropped what he was eating on, and headed instead towards the porky looking dog! (And given that Scooby looked as fat and meaty as a well feed pig, can you blame him?)
Looking at the beast Scooby could see that it wasn't just any type of wolf he was facing. This wolf seemed to have extra long fangs, extra long claws, eyes that was giving away a scary yellow light, and it was walking on it's hind legs!
Given that Scooby was currently laying on his back it wouldn't matter what he would have tried to do to escape, as he had the gigantic wolf towering over him in a blink of an eye.
There was a small moment of silence as the dominant predator was just staring at his helpless prey, until Scooby's nerves couldn't take anymore and he shouted for "RHELP!!!" louder then he had ever done before.
Showing his fear for him the wolf open it's mouth wide and went straight on for attack, and Scooby used his forepaws to grabbed each side of the jaws of the wolf, and use all of his strength hidden under his layers of fat in order to try and hold out!
It was a true moment of suspense as Scooby was holding the jaws of the beast apart as the intruder was trying to get a big bite out of the this fat filled "candy" that it saw Scooby as. Ironically it was when the voices of his dear old friend Shaggy shouting "Scooby Doo! Where are you?!" that the dog lost focus on his grip, and that gave the wolf a chance to really dig his teeth into Scooby's chest!
The wolf hadn't had time to do more then just get a taste of the flesh until the mystery gang all bursted into the kitchen, and the beast knew he was outnumbered and had to make his retreat.
They could all see how the black furred monster leaped out of a already busted window (Indicating that is how it got inside in the in the first place.), as the four members of the mystery team gathered around their wounded friend.
"Scooby! Are you alright?" Shaggy asked, as he saw the slightly bloody mark of where the wolf had bitten Scooby.
"Rshaggy..." Scooby said before falling asleep on the floor.
As soon as Scooby woke up he found himself now wearing a bandage covering the part of his chest that the scary wolf monster had been biting him in. Looking around him he could see that all four of the mystery gang and a veterinarian was looking at him.
"I have to say that your dog is very lucky that he has such an incredibly thick body, as that made the bite mark not go deep at all, and only created some mild bleeding. Give him a few days to relax and he should be back to normal again in no time." The veterinarian said before leaving the hotel room.
Still looking very confused over what just happen Scooby asked "Rwhat? Rwho? Rwhere?" to his friends.
"Scooby, you where amazing!" Shaggy said.
"You saw that a big wolf had been breaking into the hotel somehow." Fred said.
"And instead of calling for help you decided to take on the beast on your own." Velma added.
"Basically you are a hero to the hotel!" Daphne said.
The memories was still pretty blurry for Scooby, but being seen as a hero was pretty nice to hear. His chest was still hurting a little bit from the scars of the bite marks, but just like the vet had previously said his heart was not hurt so he should be able to be fully recovered soon.
A few days rest did good on Scooby as he pretty soon was back at walking around, rolling in the snow, and taking down 4 feet long sandwiches in one go as the old Scooby was know to do.
But something inside of him felt...odd. Almost like something was growing inside of him, and just waiting for the right moment to break free!
It was later during the next night that had a clear sky when Scooby was starting to feel a little uncomfortable in his sleep.
He was sweating, his legs where running like crazy as he was resting on his back, and if you listen to the noises he was making you could at times hear him say the words "Rstop rchasing rme!"
Once again weird noises could be heard from the kitchen area in the hotel, and this time it had been Shaggy who had been the one waking up in the middle of the night to get some late time snacks. But when hearing the sounds he remembered what happen to Scooby when he went alone, so quickly went and gathered the entire gang to join him.
"Yawn!" "Why did you bring us all here to the kitchen Shaggy?" Fred asked while scratching his eyes.
"Like, that wolf thing might have come back. So I felt we all needed to be here to being able to scare it away." Shaggy explained, and that's when Velma noticed something Shaggy should have seen earlier.
"But aren't we missing someone right now?" She asked, and that's when Shaggy said "Scooby! I can't believe I forgot to get him!"
"Didn't you and he share the same room?" Daphne asked.
"Yes, but when I woke up he wasn't there, so I assumed he had sneaked into the hotel kitchen and...that might be what's making all those noises." Shaggy said, realising first now that maybe he let his paranoia get the better of him.
"Sigh" "And maybe when we open these doors we will find nothing but Scooby eating out on everything in the hotel's fridge, just like we are always used to see him do." Fred said and open the door.
And while it was true that Scooby normally would be found emptying fridges at nights, he certainly didn't look very normal right now!
The first thing that throw them off was the fact that the walking mountain that was Scooby was standing on his hind legs! (Given his size he could almost never do such a feat, except for that one time in the medical lab where the sheer determination to save his friends gave him such an adrenaline rush that he ignored the pressure it gave.)
He was also looking a lot more "hairy" then usual (His fur having grown much more thicker, and was making him look more like a creature from the forests), he had fangs and claws, and even the same yellow glowing eyes!
"What has happen to him?!" Shaggy asked shocked.
"He has somehow gained the same character trades as the wolf like creature that attacked the hotel a few days ago!" Velma said, not being able to give any kind of explanation on how Scooby's sudden transformation had happen.
The gang didn't know what they should do! Scooby had seen them and was coming his way towards them now! They knew they needed to defend themselves against him, but they didn't want to risk hurting their friend either.
As Scooby was getting closer he started down at the four smaller beings that was his friends, and as he did so he started to lose some of the "evil" that was in his eyes.
He raised one of his clawed paws, made himself ready to strike down, and then...forced himself to throw his huge body out of the window! (And thanks to his huge figure he left a much, MUCH larger hole behind him then what the wolf he had faced before had done!)
The gang could do nothing but stare as they saw their fifth member run of on all four, (Belly bouncing and all.) as he disappeared into the night.
"We have to follow him!" Shaggy said.
"We can't in this darkness. We have to wait until the sun raises before we can follow his traces." Fred explained as the gang was forced to go back to sleep, and hope that what ever Scooby was doing out there wasn't to serious.
When the next day came the four youngsters followed the traces in the ground made by Scooby's feet (and belly) as he had been roaming through the small village, and it wasn't hard to see just where he had been.
Following his traces they saw that Scooby had not only been raiding the hotel fridge of food, but also the pantries of two cafe's, the fridges of three family homes, and finally a whole shed filled with turnips! (Where the gang found him resting.)
Looking at him they all saw two things with him. One, he wasn't looking like that scary wolf anymore. And two, he was more fat then ever! (If that was even possible.)
He had always have a very big saggy belly ever since his transformation, but looking at it now they could see that it was much more bloated, and defiantly felt like it was filled to the brim with food!
"Oh Scooby, what made you do this?" Shaggy asked, as he was giving his best bud a comfortable belly rub to ease the pressure the dog felt.
"I can tell you what's going on!" A mysterious voice said from behind them all.
Turning around the gang saw that they where in company with a very old lady, who looked to be a residence of the town.
"I know why your very big dog turns into this monster by night." She said.
"What do you mean?" Fred asked.
"Isn't it obvious? Your dog is a Werewolf!" The old woman said, making all four of the young adults to say "What?" in a mix of confusion of what they where hearing, and hoping that this wasn't true.
"Yes, it's true! I am the owner of this barn so I saw when he gorged out of my stack of turnips, and from what I could tell he had all of the symptoms."
"Wait! But how can you be sure of that?" Shaggy asked, hoping that she was just making this up. But the old lady was prepared for him to ask that.
"Did he have glowing eyes?"
"Yes."
"Fangs?"
"Yes."
"And seemed a lot more wild then tame?"
"Gulp!...yes."
"Then your dog is a werewolf, end of story." The lady said, and was on her way to walk away when the other's in the gang interfered.
"But shouldn't you help us keep him get cured?" Velma asked.
"Who knows what he will do if he gets transformed again?" Daphne added.
"Usually you should fear someone who is a werewolf more then anything else for their thirst for blood, but from what I saw last night your dog had many moments to take someone's life but didn't do it. I'll guess that the real thing he is after is food. (Wouldn't understand why a dog like him would need to eat more, but that's the facts.)" She said as she was making her way back to her home. "As long as none of you kids are in-between his next meal you should all be fine."
"But isn't it any way to make it stop happening to him?" Fred asked, to which the old lady replied "There is one thing you can do. Kill it.".
"What?!" They all five (Including Scooby) shouted together.
"That's just how we do it here every time a werewolf shows up. Just put a silver bullet through the heart of the beast, and no more troubles to be have." She said before closing the door on them all.
"So like, what do we do now? Do we just leave Scooby to become a food hunting monster every night?" Shaggy asked.
"I don't think so. If not for his own sake, then for the enormous food bills we will get every day." Fred answered.
"Do you have any ideas on how we can cure him Velma?" Daphne asked, to which Velma replied "I am looking for it right now." while looking through her portable pad.
After some surfing on the world wide web Velma finally seemed to have found something.
"This might look a tad bit superstitious, but given that we now know that werewolves actually exist I guess that every type of answer could be the right one." Velma said as she picked out a special web page from her web search.
"According to many of the sites I've found they all say that the most common reason for a werewolf's acting is that it is trying to become "The Alpha", and that the only way for Scooby to get his curse lifted off is if he can scare the werewolf who bite him and make himself look like the new alpha." Velma explained.
"So in order to get our old Scooby back..." Fred said before having Velma finish for him "We must find the original Werewolf."
"So let's see if I have got this right. If we want our old friend Scooby back to normal we must have to find that super creepy Werewolf, and try to scare him?!" Shaggy said, trying to convince himself that this insane turn of events where true.
"It is pretty risky, but when every other solution to cure a werewolf decease is to kill the one carrying it..." Velma said, before pausing to let the dark alternative of this situation really hit home with the rest. "...this is the one we will have to try and make the best of."
"But first we must figure out from where this werewolf came." Daphne said.
"That's right, and I think I know who to ask for that type of information." Fred said, and then headed towards the old lady's home.
After about a minute he came back to the rest of the gang, and he was now wearing a bucket over his head and his clothes where a bit wet now.
"That lady does NOT like it when someone comes in and tries making her talk about werewolf's, while she is cleaning the floor!" Fred said as he got the bucket off his head. "But at least she told me one important thing."
"What?" All the others asked.
"That she hadn't seen signs that anyone living in the village would be the huge werewolf that had been breaking into the hotel, and that it was most likely that that person would be living alone somewhere in the forest." Fred said, not making Shaggy or Scooby any calmer.
"But that forest is like, as big as our hometown! We would never be able to locate the small shack that this lonely man would be living in." Shaggy said, and Scooby started to cry.
"Oh Scooby. Are you crying over your werewolf problem?" Daphne asked, to which Scooby said "Rno! RI'm rsad Rover rthe rfact rthat rI rwill Reat revery rnight, Rand rnot remember rwhat Rany Rof Rit rtasted rlike!"
"Don't worry Scooby! I have thought out a plan that will assure you that this thing will be solved this same night!" Fred said, making Scooby feel a lot more calmer and happy over having such great and supporting friends.
When the next night arrived a lot of things had been made for the preparation of the "Scare the Werewolf" plan that was going to save Scooby.
As they where making their way into the woods as the sun was setting down Scooby was leading the gang, as he was using his nose to try and sniff up traces of where the werewolf could be hiding.
Shaggy was right behind him, carrying a small sack filled with loose dog hair taken from several of the village St. Bernard dogs.
Daphne was carrying a make up kit and special contact lenses for Scooby to wear.
Fred was heaving a big black sheet that was going to be use in order to prevent Scooby from transforming again.
And last in the chain was Velma, who was carrying a big sack filled with something that sounded like it was made out of metal, as it gave away a "clank!" sound every time some of them moved into each other.
"What are you even carrying Velma? All of us are carrying things that would help us make Scooby look more "intimidating" to the werewolf." Fred said.
"What I got here is also going to help us with that. I want to keep it a secret for now, but let's just say that it will help "expand" on Scooby's chances of succeeding." Velma answered back.
After walking for a while Scooby stopped dead in his tracks.
"Like, what's the matter Scoob?" Shaggy asked.
"Rfresh rtracks." Scooby answered back.
"Fresh Tracks? Then that means that the werewolf could be around these parts." Daphne said.
"Sounds like this makes the perfect place for us to prepare our big trap for the werewolf." Fred said, and shortly after the whole group started to work on their separate things.
Daphne and Scooby worked on making him look just like his werewolf self. (But still having him be good old Scooby under it.) They did this by Gluing on the extra dog hair to give him the "wolf" like fur, and the contact lenses would give him those glowing eyes.
Fred and Shaggy was working on putting up the big sheet amongst the tree tops, in order to block the moon light from hitting the area they where standing in, and prevent Scooby from getting transformed for real again. (As long as he where standing in the even darker area he would be fine.)
And finally Velma took out what she had been storing in her sack to show the others, and they where all surprised to find that it was a bunch of air tanks and a hose.
"And how are those and the hose suppose to help Scooby with his monster problem?" Shaggy asked, to which Velma proudly said "Since Scooby need to look bigger to scare the other werewolf I thought that having him inflated up to make him taller then anyone else should do the trick."
The rest of the gang looked a little sceptical over how someone as smart as Velma could come up with such a "simple minded" plan to make Scooby "look large", but they didn't question her at all as they knew she was smart, and if she thinks it will work then they will also think it will work.
After a few hours of work almost all of it was done.
The blocking of the moon was set up perfect.
Scooby really looked like his werewolf self now.
All that was left was for Scooby to also use the air tanks that Velma had brought with her. He was a little unsure at first to do it, but he trusted that it was going to work so he put the hose into his mouth, and gave Velma the thumbs up to turn on the valve.
Almost immodestly after she did her thing Scooby could feel how his cheeks bloated out, and how lots of air was rushing down into him!
Looking down he could see how his flabby and already rounded middle was starting to get stretched out and actually have a nice plain look to it. In one way he was now having only one consistent level of fatness, but on the other hand he also now had a belly that was sticking out about 1 or 2 more feet now!
His other body parts (Chest, Arms, Legs, and Tail) where also starting to grow a lot from the air inflation, as the canine was no only getting wider but also (just as Velma had predicted) taller!
Pretty soon Scooby felt so light inside that he could actually stand on his two hind legs without any worries of them collapsing under his weight, and at that point he was towering 12 feet above them all! At that point Velma turned off the valve, and they all looked at what a creature Scooby now was.
With the added fangs and glowing eyes and hair he really did look like the werewolf he had been attacked by, and with the added weight and length there was no way that he couldn't be seen as the alpha now!
"Scooby is all ready now to scare the monster." Fred said.
"Now there is only one last thing to do, and that is to lure the werewolf to Scooby." Velma said.
"Shaggy, I know that you and Scooby often don't like to be the one to act like bait for our traps (And especially this time when you will have to do it all by yourself.), but if I gave you a whole package of Scooby snack for yourself would you do it?" Daphne asked and held the Biskit package in front of her.
Shaggy was first on his way to grab it and eat it all in one go, but then he pushed it away from him.
"No matter how much I and Scooby loves eating these before our dangerous missions I have to say no this time. This is not about us catching and unmasking some bad guy, it is about Scooby. And my friendship with Scooby means much more then what any amount of Scooby Snack can give." Shaggy said in a very passionate speech that made Scooby so teary-eyed that he waddled over to his pal, and gave him a really big hug.
"Make yourself ready Scoob, cause pretty soon you will be the one scaring instead of being the one scared." Shaggy said as he made his way out through the dark forest to find the werewolf.
He had been filled with lots of courage when he had left the group, but as soon as he was by himself he started to second guess himself a little bit.
"Oh boy. Maybe doing this wasn't such a smart idea...BOMP!" Shaggy said to himself until he felt himself bump into something furry. He had hope it would be something less dangerous like a Bear or Mountain Lion, but it was in fact the werewolf he had ended up finding.
"Gulp!" "Uhm...Hey?" Shaggy said nervously, to which the beast responded by roaring and showing it's teeth's!
Doing what he does best Shaggy immediately took off and ran away as quick as possible from the monster, who in return started chasing him.
Remembering how he had walked it didn't take long time for Shaggy to return to the place where their "Scooby Trap" was waiting for them.
"Make way!" Shaggy shouted, and Fred, Daphne, and Velma all took and hide themselves as Shaggy and the werewolf came running.
Shaggy then took and tossed himself forward and glided on the ground right in-between the thick legs of Scooby, so when the werewolf was trying to catch him it instead ended up slamming in the big gut of Scooby.
Confused at first the werewolf looked to see what it had hit, only to suddenly feel very, very, small.
He had always looked like the big guy with his 8 feet in length, but now he was facing off towards someone that was standing 4 more feet taller then him!
With his added fur and makeup Scooby had truly fooled the werewolf into thinking that he was a bigger werewolf and not the fat dog he had been biting before, and all that was missing now was for Scooby to do the werewolf howl to seal the deal.
He had planned to just do a simple howl and let his impressive size do most of the work, but as he inhaled something happen inside of him. All of that extra air that was inside of him suddenly wanted to escape out now when the dog wanted to shout, and it didn't hold back at all!
"AWOOOOOOUUUUUURRRRPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!"
What started as a typical dog howl soon turned into a hurricane of belching thanks to the added air pressure!
It's volume and deep tone actually helped Scooby, as it made it all sound like it was a howl coming from a really big (and fat) werewolf.
It was such a powerful and forced burp that it sent the actual werewolf flying backwards, and slamming into a tree! (And once pinned there it was forced to endure the entire thing until Scooby had run out of air.) After a full minute of the howl/burp treatment Scooby Doo had lost all of his extra air, and was back to his normal fat size again.
But it was no worries that the werewolf would come fighting him now as the poor thing looked so scared that just seeing the glowing eyes of Scooby was enough to make it run away! (All with it's tail between it's legs.)
Everyone from the gang came back from their hiding places, and they couldn't believe what a great job Scooby had made. But was he truly cured?
To try it out Scooby waddled his way over to outside the "Safe Zone" that was covering him from the moonlight and...nothing happen. He had been rid of his werewolf curse!
"Looks like a job well done everybody." Fred said, and they all cheered as Scooby shouted "Scooby Dooby AWOOOO!"
All four of them looked at Scooby Doo, who blushed slightly as he said "Rsorry. Rcouldn't Resist."
