This is me trying out my newly-bought bass guitar. This is only my third attempt at playing bass at all.
It's a Yamaha... of some sort... I think it's a TRBX... of some sort I think. It's very nice and I really quite like playing it!
So yeah, I hope to git gud at bass and perhaps end up doing something with other people after I manage to get some practice.

Yeah, it might be worth getting a cheap DI unit to sit in front of the sound card (wonders if he can offload his old Icon Reotube). I never really tried recording through the amp much - the direct injection bass sound was exactly the sort of Stranglers / Gryphon 'Ethelion' sound I was trying to get in the first place.

The technique is bad, unfortunately it got ingrained to the point where I can't really fix it. I'll never really be good at it at this rate, but I'm good enough to do what I want and I guess that's what counts...
I also have one after about 2 hours, with the bass incorrectly tuned and all, but that's too awful to show.
