Betty Bee was born with an abnormally large size, her size confused the caretakers wondering if she was meant to be a new large Queen Bee, but she was just abnormally large at hatch day. But they found a discouraging feature, as she grew her wings did not show much change, they continued to grow at a slow rate staying at a unusual small size, this made flight for her very short and difficult. But the Queen still found a job for her, she continued her life under ground in the hive moving rocks and materials to pave way for new lower levels of the hive. During this time she did her best to keep her extremely large and heavy abdomen off the ground for the ground was unpaved, dusty, and rough, she did not want to scratch up her tush. Year after year into adult hood this became the norm to her, she was asked why she kept her abdomen so high, and she exclaimed it was just natural to her now when she worked her job. The bees made jokes about her saying it was a air not honey she held but they knew she was simply a strong worker. Still at times she felt bad as other bees would fly by and she would mostly have to crawl and climb everything.
That was till the day the Queen was met with a strange man in a blue and yellow cloak, he was asking for champions for a game called sumo. The Queen gathered her best workers, when she heard that weight and power was what they needed for the champion, but match after match the Queen realized, no bee could keep their abdomen off the ground the rule required only their feet touch the ground, that is till she saw Betty moving a bolder, her abdomen raised in the air like hand waving "pick me!" to poor Betty's shock she was grabbed by the royal guard... er royal guards and dragged her over to the Queen. The Queen demanded she throw the workers out of the ring, one by one none of the worker bees could move Betty. She was just too strong, and too use to moving on the ground while they relied on flight. Betty was shocked to hear the queen announce their champion, she was a champion, all this time she felt she would amount to nothing more then a rock mover, but now she has a chance to make the whole Hive and even the QUEEN herself proud of her. She happily agreed and joined the cloaked man as they left to her new temporary home.
