In this third (and final) presentation of 'fan art' I'd sent to Derrick Fish (back in 2004) for inclusion in his webcomic "Dandy & Company" (for his "Total Chaos" segment), I have a four-panel strip that only seems apropos for this holiday season...

One of the recurring gags in the early days of "D&C" was 'Dandy's constant surprises, that he would spring on the neighbor's dog 'Maryweather' (who he would eventually develop a romantic interest in, later on). This mostly involved hiding in her mailbox, so that when she opened it, he'd spring out to kiss her! Derrick never considered the possibility that his canine character might be hiding in the mailbox, as the postman arrives sooner (before 'Maryweather' does), and the consequences that could ensue, as a result...

Well, I've managed to fill that void, as the (totally unaware) postman fills the dog's belly with some very heavy reading material! Enjoy your fill of this full-color offering!
