With Dreamworks recently the sequels tend to be better than the original, and Kung Fu Panda 2 is a great example of this. The Villain really does make the movie though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QuLUZIvf-l8
If I remember Right Dreamworks Animation was founded by people who used to work for Disney, and they kind of had a grudge against them which lead to the abundant anti Disney symbolism in Shrek. They're movies definitely are more mature, though Disney and Pixar tends to have movies that pull at your heartstrings more.
His stuff early on and about halfway through family guy was pretty good even if it was hit or miss, but these days I'm just cringing and I'm disgusted with how far he takes things. I'll admit I liked Ted, but Ted 2 was just par for the course.
I still want to see Inside Out, but I just haven't had the finances to buy things recently.
