I was at King Richard's Faire in Carver, MA again this year for the adult costume contest. I took home first place for the "Elaborate" costume division of the contest :) I had a lot of fun and my gosh, were there WAY more kids there than normal. Most of my time there was spend entertaining them.
This is my second year winning the costume contest at King Richard's Faire and I think they are getting a bit tired of me winning so they invited me back next year to be a guest judge instead, which I don't mind doing, lol.

Heh, sadly I'm absolutely TERRIBLE with sewing and I haven't learned how to properly make body suits yet. This was my second suit. I don't think I'd mind scaling a suit for someone but the fabric used would have to be very short pile or non-fur fabric. I used micro-suede for this particular costume as it's very slightly fuzzy (enough to make the scales pop a bit more) but not so much that it hides all the scale work, not to mention 4 way stretch (and honestly the scales help to hide my horrendous hand sewn seams. The whole suite was hand sew as I didn't have a machine I wouldn't even know how to use it!). So all the seems are very tight and solid, but were pretty visible until I did all those scales.
Thank you so, so much! *bows* I would really love to learn how to make a body suit, I just don't think there are any suit crafters near me so I can be a fly on the wall or learn from anyone nearby. Tutorials sort of help, but nothing beats getting your hands dirty and working with someone who knows what they are doing.
