xD oh yea. The community on SMITE is pretty toxic too. Even when we were winning one game someone was bitching me out for being a bad utility tank because I didnt have any kills. I was like =w=; xD

Man I can barley handle CS, I don't know how you put up with MOBA's. People got mad at me against level one AI when i was trying the game lol

For instance, I was playing Sobek in SMITE yesterday. I use the death dealer skin because I like it. I'm not very good at the game though to begin with, but someone decided to let me know that. First he started trash talking me in chat, saying that I didnt deserve the Death Dealer and that I should give it back to the creator because I suck. At roughly 20 minutes in he proceeded to take the time to mention that I was 2-9-10, 2 kills, 9 deaths, and 10 assists, and that I was trash.

First off, you need to understand that Sobek is a guardian. Most guardians are there to generally annoy the enemy team, buff their teammates, and act as a distraction by taking a lot of hits. For Sobek all you really do for a good portion of the game is use your 1 power, in which you rush forward and grab a player and throw them back behind you. Your teammates then will generally kill them. A good Sobek has a lot of assists and a fair amount of kills with low deaths.

Here's my problem though: My sobek goes with a bruiser build. I work up my defenses during early and mid game then get my damage in late game. Late game is generally anything after 40 minutes, so my damage really falls off around mid game, which is when all the other gods are finally starting to get their damage items. Sobek is designed to be a team player than can solo in a pinch. Were was I the whole game? Right lane, which is what's considered a Duo lane, designed to be watched by two people. So I was over there by myself, playing a melee god, fighting off 2 ranged gods, on top of a 3rd one occassionally ganking me.

You see the problem here too right?

But yea. I just laugh, usually. No sense in getting mad over it. xD

HA. ye people are so absorbed with themselves they don't look at the situation of the other player. I find myself being the only guy giving advice to someone doing poorly while everyone is trying to vote kick them. Id rather a filled community then a small elite one, but that's what you get. I would constantly get flammed for playing as an entry fragger in CS because I'm the first one going through the doorways and such to open up a strat. I'm usually met with multiple foes and get gunned down but it opens the floodgates. if i get the kill that's even better, but the low K/D means i just suck right? xD

What's hilarious about my who situation is that we were winning when this guy started up. We almost lost because people started spending more time typing than they did playing. xD

Yea, there is too much of an emphasis put on K/D ratio in games. I'm seeing an increasing number of popular youtubers call for its eradication in certain games. Levelcampgaming, Matimi0, Jackfrags and Xfactorgaming for instance. 4 big names in the Battlefield community. They're calling for K/D to be removed from a player's battlelog because it doesnt encourage teamplay and PTFOing. I'd have to agree with them frankly.

Yea same thing happens, they get absorbed with flaming and complaining they refuse to work together and inevitably doom the team. I couldent agree more about abolishing k/d. Games are more complex now then just killing that we really need to focus on diffrent things. It's been the most predominanat stat for too fuckin long that people overlooked my 3.0 win loss ratio in bad company haha

Yea, its really sad, I believe that it contributes directly to the toxicity of some communities.
