"The Fey Dragons have the body of a deer but the tail of a chameleon. The patterns on their wings change colour as they grow. They absorb magic through their wings causing them to glow with vivid colours and shifting patterns. They use the energy they gather with their wings as a life source. Much like the Fey themselves they are a manifestation of nature born from magic and thus are immune to the effects of magic themselves. They are immortal beings that can only be killed if their wings are destroyed, this makes them their greatest weakness and strength. They are natural born tricksters, they are incredibly curious yet very little is actually known about the biology and habitat as they have the unique ability to phase in and out of reality as incorporeal beings."
Fey Dragons are manifestations of nature yet as magic is dying in the world they have adapted to instead feed off of thoughts and emotions and thus need a host to survive. As a parasitic species that is invisible to the naked eye the live in a parallel world alongside our own and come in three varieties: Nightmares, Dreamers, and Enigmas. The Nightmare's are Fey Dragons who feed off positive emotions leaving their hosts devoid of happiness their claws, horns and hooves grow in fiendish ways matching their cruel nature. Their wings become webbed and often grow second sets of eyes on their wings or head. The Dreamers feed off of negative emotions chasing away nightmares and feelings of doubt leaving their hosts positive and refreshed. A Dreamers appearance is shaped by the positive emotions their hosts givd off and as a result are brightly coloured, with long elegant horns, and graceful insect - often butterfly like wings. The final type are the Enigma's which despite their name are the more common type in the modern world, they drift from host to host and feed off of the more mundane aspects of life; often leaving their hosts when they become too happy or unhappy. Enigma's drifting nature results in a large variety of colours, their features are wild and unique shaped by hundreds of different emotions no two fey are alike.
