Yeah. I have my normal wolf side with normal, non-glowy yellow eyes, I'm only steady red glowing eyed when I trigger the Demon Wolf side. Since it makes the eye areas a solid, glowing color, swirly eyes would be out of place, so therefore they turn to the tranquility color of purple to differentiate.
