A long time ago, when I was like FIVE, I invented a race of creatures known as Aarahguys. They were very popular amongst myself and my younger brothers. Their design was initially farfetched, but they evolved over these past TWENTY TWO years for apparently my brothers continued to use them in stories and Lego-based roleplay adventures even long after I'd abandoned them. Now aarahs, dubbed "guikes", make their newly evolved appearance in our GURPS campaigns. It's amazing how long these creatures have occupied our imaginations.
