Yes I tended to agree, I truly detested the big breasted ice queen concept they embraced the last years of the show. They moved quickly away from the cute mini-skirts (ala: Deanna) but Star Trek was an icon to all us girls, and boys at the times. Instead of being great looking in mini-skirts, your mind could be attractive (IE: Dr. Crusher, Uhura)
I will admit that some of the fan-fiction star treks (ALA: Renegades) have featured some incredibly attractive, but also highly intelligent women in it. In fact, I would be willing to follow the captain into hell (cough, I assure you, I am only interested in her mind, and leadership qualities. )
But yes, I tripped over my soap-box, Sandiago can make a lot of things truly enjoyable.
