This was from most recent class project. It's part of my senior project to model at least 3 pirate themed characters of differing personalities and ranks. This one was anthro and I haven't uploaded for awhile so why not here, yes?
My parameters are:
Medium MMO Quality 3500 - 7500 tris
1024 x 1024 maps
Use the same cartoony style for all characters so they'll feasibly belong in the same world.
Done with 3D Studio Max 9, PhotoShop CS2, ZBrush 3, and Roadkill 1.1.
This is “Croc”, although his real name is Farfar I had presented him as “Croc” for so long that everyone just got used to that name so it stuck. He fulfills one of my animal pirates. This one was a bit more challenging than the last one because we were dealing with far more curves than I’m used to plus he had no clothes or sleeves to hide geometry ends for unwrapping save the legs. So this indeed was an exercise for my unwrapping skills.Although, he took far longer to complete than I wanted but he sure was fun to texture! :3
I think his textures and some geometry needs just a tad more tweaking before I call him completely done.
Some limited progress on my blog: http://yourstupidfacedotcom.blogspot.com/
