Simple and unadorned, this mink skull hangs on a copper plated 20 inch chain with lobster clasp and is without the flash and 'pop' of my other skull pendants. If you like the idea of a cruelty-free skull pendant but prefer something understated with a purely natural appearance..well, you're just the person I had in mind when I made this piece!

The skull came from a naturally deceased (wild) American Mink and has been soaked in black teas and cinnamon for 48 hours to give it this natural 'just came out of the woods' coloration. If you put it up to your nose and take a deep sniff you can still smell the tea and cinnamon. :) The dye is permanent and goes below the surface of the bone while still leaving the teeth white. The skull isn't missing any teeth. A bronze link is drilled into the back of the skull for the antique copper chain to run through, and that's it. No gems, no shiny wires, no paint, no crystals, nothing held in the jaws. Just nature.

The skull has been lightly sealed in a matte finish to protect it and the teeth have been lightly glossed.
