At the end of 2007 I drew the military vehicles of an entire future combat force: land, sea, and air. The atomic-powered artillery was the most conservative of the designs. Made of interchangeable modules that form a "land train", it fires conventional shells while being driven by a water-vapor venting atomic pile. (Also my first experiment in the artistic use of smudge, in this case for the dirt and mud of the battlefield.) (Dec. 2007)
