Sonny crossed the town plaza, making a beeline for an occupied park bench. He came to a stop in front of the bench and addressed its occupant.

"Really, really, you're going as that?" Asked the incredulous alicorn.

The occupant of the park bench opened one eye and then smiled at the newcomer. "Ah! Good you're finally here! I was getting bored waiting for you. Shall we go?"

Sunny Blazehoof slowly got to her hoofs and did a long, slow, catlike stretch. The newest member of the Wonderbolts was normally a pegasus mare, but for this special evening she had taken on a new look. Literally. Through the liberal use of magical potions she had become a bat pony for Nightmare Night. In place of her regular, brilliantly colored flight suit, Sunny had replaced with a very snug, shiny, black bodysuit. She smiled at the alicorn showing several pointy teeth that were not normally part of her dental arsenal.

"Gee Grampa Gruff. Didn't anypony teach you any manners when you were a colt? You're suppose to compliment a mare on her appearance!"

The alicorn shook his head causing the bells on his tall hat to ring and jingle. "I'm Star Swirled the Bearded!" Said the alicorn in a gruff tone."We're suppose to be going to costume party. Taking a potion is not a costume!"

Sunny looked over her shoulder at the glistening black outfit she was wearing. "And this thing I am wearing is?" She gave her backside a playful wiggle. "The mare in Ponyville who sold it to me called it a Sneaky Suit. link That sounds like a costume to me!"

"It's attractive, quite flattering." Said Sonny in a dry, clinical voice. "But it is nothing more than club wear. It hardly qualifies as a costume!"

Sunny ignored Sonny critique and flagged down a group of stallions crossing the plaza. "Hey there guys! What do you think of my Nightmare Night costume!" The mare reared up on her hind legs, spread her wings and struck a pose.

A chorus of cheers, howls, and whistles greeted Sunny's presentation. The mare dropped back on to all four hoofs and smiled at her date.

"I think most ponies like my costume!"
