He'd been warned about Jason. Mr. MVP, Eaglevale High's former star quarterback, the muscle-bound stud was a force to be reckoned with, so he appeared to be. He certainly wasn't very welcoming.

Charles warily offered an open hand, a friendly gesture. He hoped a peaceful greeting would start them on the right foot.

Returning the gesture with gusto, Jason held firm to Charles' recieving palm. He squeezed the Englishman's fragile hand, forcefully constricting his wrist like a vice. He smiked, watching his sister's beau squirm in polite silence.
