So, a few days ago my family stumbled upon three abandoned kittens and their mom on a highway! Since that day, Ash and I have been taking care of them and today is the last full day we have them. On day one the kittens were VERY dirty and malnourished, flea ridden, and exhausted. Now I can't even keep the kittens from climbing on me. LOL. They have made so much progress and are looking so much better! I'll upload a picture of them soon when I can get some more time!
For now, this is their mom! She has a big scab on the bridge of her nose. We reckon that she got dumped from a car by her former owner(s) and that lead to a big scrape on her lil schnoz. It's healing, though, and getting better each day. :3 Eve is such a sweetheart. She loves to lay on your lap and purr all the time. Definitely a lap cat by nature and more of a relaxed cat than anything else. =w=
Tomorrow, we'll be handing them over to a local no-kill shelter, Animal Friends, who will give them professional care and a foster home until they are fit for adoption! \ o /

Man it gets me when people dump their pets like that instead of just taking them to a shelter to begin with. Yesterday we found a handful of cats that were dumped out in the hunting grounds...on the start of hunting season. They were beautiful, its a shame they ran off or i woulda takent them.

Yeah... this is my first time dealing with something like this, and seriously...? Someone couldn't be bothered to even go to a shelter to drop them off? My guess is that the owner might have gotten freaked out that the mom was pregnant and dumped the cat onto the road or something because they didn't know how to take care of kittens, I have no idea haha. There's no excuse to do that shit.
