Chapter 12: Captain Chair-Breaker for Dinner; Day 130
It was yet another VIP dinner with a young couple who were spending a year-long honeymoon. What was once a drag for Fox became an everyday feast for Fox and Krystal to order increasingly larger portions to watch each other grow. Why most of the people dining didn’t say more about it, no one can say for sure unless they were on the ship itself.
There was, however, SOMETHING that would complain and that was Fox’s chair he was sitting in. While conversing with the couple over various stories that never saw public conclusion or simply were
overlooked by the media, his chair began to creak slowly but surely the more he ate, only briefly getting much needed relief when he went up to get more servings. If the chair could feel anything, it would be crippling and never-ending pain supporting someone who weighed far more than it on its frame.
As the bells of death and mourning tolled for the essentially doomed chair, the foxes were telling their guests about the fate of Wolf O’Donnell, whom last they heard had only recently been out of prison.
“So you’re saying the reason this prison was not declassified until recently due to their practices?” The male mane-less lion with a bowtie asked Fox curiously, “That’s…unusual even for handling prisoners.”
Krystal replied “Yes, but it seems to be more humane than most past solutions to prisoners during our days in the Star Fox team as well as for the earliest of our team’s successors. “
The slim cow lady then asked “And what of Star Wolf? Would putting them in such a prison be letting them off easy, considering their original loyalty to Andross?” Fox replied “I’m not sure it’s for me to decide…might be for most of them besides Panther, but yeah I heard Wolf was sent to this Experi-AAAAAAAAAUGH!“
Alas, the bells of death and mourning would chime no longer as the chair FINALLY gave a resounding snap on all four of its legs, ending its burden of carrying Fox and sending him onto his fattened back with what was likely the chair’s attempt to take Fox with it. If this chair had emotions, it would be that of suicidal spite.
Needless to say, this interrupted the couple’s thought process and even surprised Krystal as she yelled out “Fox! Are you alright!?” She tried to help her heavy husband up, but their accumulated weight presented one of the newfound downsides of being fat…lifting someone falling on their fat ass is now MUCH more difficult than before. Fox mutter sheepishly, “I definitely need a new chair…a stronger one too.”
