He's the only, so far, friendly Fallen you'll encounter in Destiny, but I hope they perhaps introduce a House that ain't looking to continue the war against humanity and the Traveler but rather co-exist peacefully, plus help them fight the Darkness and its minions.

Or even better, add Vandals as a playable race, maybe a house of outcasts. Imagine quad-wielding guns...

I had a similar thought.
The trade off would be that you can't use the Supers that the Guardians use, but being able to wield an assault rifle with one pair of hands and a shotgun in the other is a very useful ability.

Of course. You don't get awesome superpowers or whatever, but I don't think superpowers would save them from twice the firepower

Plus you'd at one point go from Vandal to Captain, I imagine the ceremony would be held on the Tower where both the Speaker, a guy who has a mysterious connection to the Traveler and is one of a long running tradition where a new Speaker is selected from the most promising and bright young, and Variks along with the Vanguard and every Guardian attend as you are not only given the armor of a Captain but also grow just as big as them.

I think that Captains would be the ones who would need to grow
