Special thanks to everyone who chimed in on my Twitter about what brand of cigarettes Meier would/should smoke. I ask lots of questions on my Twitter about subjects I don't know about so if you ever want to talk about FS feel free to join the conversation: https://twitter.com/Boneitis If you're knowledgeable about things beyond Youtube memes and videogames your contribution just might end up in the comic! This time I went with
ralvrwuff 's suggestion for the Mexican brand "Delicados". There's two reasons I went with it but I try to not explain storytelling decisions right under said story, it's bad form. A lot of people suggested Marlboro and, oddly, a cousin of mine who must read the comic suggested "Kools" because Meier is cool (I did like that answer!).
Oh I also run an art Tumblr so if you like Tumblr's "ask" feature feel free to shoot anything my way! http://boneitisuno.tumblr.com/ Also reblogs and RT's really help me out a lot.
Enjoy the continuing awkwardness between Leon and Meier as they try to not completely hate each other.
It's the furry comic they don't want you to read! False Start continues!

EDIT: Meier's smoking hand in panel 4 was too big, F5 to make it not a yaoi hand.

Hmm...now we're getting somewhere. Meier's being a bit more mature now, and it seems he sees something in Leon, namely in that, despite all the insanity going on and all Meier has put him through, Leon's not looking for the nearest escape hatch and is even going off on the seemingly Mr. Crazy.
Here it comes... next page, so many questions I have about Leon might be answered...
...or you're just being the biggest tease in the world and Tenant Junior will jump in and interrupt the conversation to save his old "skating buddy" from the big reveal. You know, something that presents more questions that it answers.
Still, this act of scaring people away from Leon is intentional? Wow. Wonder how Leon will react if he finds out?
Also... a smart man like Meier smokes? Unless his secret superpower is phasing and he can literally rip the tar from his lungs, that can NOT be healthy for a man his age. Well, unless that is another one of Gecko's jobs.

I think you mean scaring people away from Simon. Does seem like a mean thing to do, presumably Meier does it because Simon's body is essentially now a secret weapon and company asset and he's paranoid about spies kidnapping him or getting secrets out of him. That's my thinking anyway.
Yes, and unfortunately I appear to have lost the edit button.
While your reasoning is sound, it doesn't change the question of how Simon will react. I mean, I don't think he realizes that he is not only a secret weapon project, but an ILLEGAL secret weapon project. Leon, on the other hand, either realizes it or will have it smack him like a ton of bricks in a few minutes once he takes a break from shouting at Meier to hyperventilate.

That is a very interesting point, that Simon is possibly part of an illegal weapon project. Obviously he needs the suit and the swords but his body has also been modified. So what exactly would happen to Simon if the U.S. government or possibly the United Nations do with him? Would his body be considered part of the weapon? And how accountable can Simon be held for it if he didn't know the project was illegal? Not easy questions to answer.
Awesome!! My suggestion was picked. Kinda feeling like explaining it, but I'll leave that for you to do in due time.
Interesting change in demeanor from Meier too. First all theatrical as he said, and now that he has compared himself a bit he looks more business-like. I'm both intrigued and afraid of what he'll say to Leon next. I feel we're seeing the beginning of a "deal with the devil" situation. Although if Meier gets Leon to work there it would mean he has a tighter grip on both Simon and Leon should either of them decide to leave the company.

I was a little surprised at first that Meier smokes -you'd think he wouldn't want to die of cancer before his time, since he seems very dedicated to his work- but all men have their vices. That and with all the resources at his disposal he can probably just magic up a cure for lung cancer anyway. Being CEO must come with a sweet health care package.
That or Vul just plain aren't (as) affected by smoking somehow.
I also have to echo really liking the smoke effect. You literally put some of yourself into the art!
So, Meier: damage control. Wind Leon down, act personable, explain yourself. Make him feel special. Strike a deal to keep him close, since it doesn't seem like he's going away. In short, control him, and control the situation. I'm sure you figure you've done enough teleporting people to Alaska for one day.
