; u ; I wanted to draw one of them alone yesterday, but decided to wait until today instead, because O couldn’t do one without the other!
Lune, a 11 years old half-wolf (doesn’t want to be called a girl, wolf, or anything other than half-wolf.). And Bertrand, a solitary barbarian. They met when Lune got caught into a trap he had set for wild animals.
They don’t seem to get along at all, but she awakens in him a fatherly side which he tries to hide, and he sort of replaces the family she’s lost years ago (She had been kidnapped as a child by a tribe who had suffered many lost in a war, and were trying to build a clan again. She managed to escape at some point, and lived on her own, trying to go back home.)
Bertrand didn’t have much of a back story. He lived for himself, hunting monsters and wild beasts for money. He also didn’t have much of a goal until he was pulled into an adventure that promised glory. And he wasn’t against glory.
The main characters from that story were really bland, and much too flawless to be interesting.
But these two still make me think of happy things.
Unknown to her, the fur on his shoulder is from a wolf’s pelt.
They often tease each others (He calls her “little lady” and enjoys seeing her try and fail at acting older than her age, and she literally gets into his hair on various occasions.)
To be honest, drawing them again (I think the last time I did was about 10 years ago???) makes me want to work on giving them a story of their own, removing the other two from it.
