Thank you! I tried to do some research to get an idea of what the flora of the desired time period looked like. I had to look over some different thoughts on Utahraptor design, as well, and go from there.

I love how this came out! Sorry for my comment delay; internet is not cooperating at all! There are so many tiny details in this that it truly blows my mind. I don't know how you do it! But I'm very glad you have the skill to do it so nicely! Thank you for portraying ancient Utah in the Cretaceous so nicely; looks awesome! I just overall enjoy this scene, taking my vague idea and blending it with your ideas and creative ingenuity. I really like the posing on this piece, and there's some awesome movement in it, too! I think the only thing that may be missing is cloud poof from the dust they're kicking up, but I didn't notice it in the sketch, so no complaints here! Just thought I'd mention is as a tiny detail you may consider for future dusty scenes. I haven't seen any desert scenes in your gallery, so it's an easy thing to miss; besides, you had scales and feathers to think about! And the overall piece is what really matters. I think it's great! So don't change a thing. :}

Dangit, I even made a mental note to make dust poofs- then clearly spaced it.
It was such a blast to work outside of my norm and see what I could move around. Making vegetation that's not pine is progress. Stupid trees-that-aren't pine being weird to render and paint. Thank you again for the opportunity. I still got my fuzzy feather bits.

Hmm, I imagine they're probably the offspring of Protoceratops who all just happen to be getting food at once...luckily. Either way, not going to be happy upon returning.
