Tears of pain, tears of longing, of loneliness and sadness. What rare few drops of imagined joy
would fill the space between strokes, but for a moment to remind me why I rise in the morning.
Without tears, the canvas lies blank, a cello without heartstrings, words without a story,
the furrows of the mind lay fallow, no seeds sown for thoughts to grow.
