Wow, where the hell to start with this one?
So first up why. As most of you know I don't comment or talk that often. I know I really should but it's just not the way I am. So anyway this image is dedicated to
De-flator from FA. He's a talented artist and I admire his work much. About 6 months back I noticed that I had the same number of characters as him so I decided... Mass inflation battle!
Never really done a large image with more than 2 characters so this was a big first. Wanted a large image with lots of characters, although it came off okay it's a mess. Should have used a larger image size so I could fit more detail into the more distant characters and even at times, the nearer ones. Prospectives were a pain to do but once again the 3d I made and drew over pulled me through, although it does look wrong in places still which i don't really understand.
So now I'll give a little commentary for those people who don't know these characters. (more for the benefit of Deviant peeps)
At front: Riki (red) and Python (green). The two leaders of the teams fighting it out. Riki thinks he's won but Python has gone for sneaky tail inflation and his tank looks bigger.
Left: Nix (blue) and Yma (pinkish). Nix getting a little more than he bargained for, getting lodged between two growing orbs... Is he blushing? :D
Close right: Else (pink), Vessee (blue) and Seth (green). Else has got herself in a fix and Vessee is trying to free her. Although I think she's getting a little over eager. Those clawed feet of hers are really sinking in and the look on Else's face is showing the stress her skins under. Seth is using the distraction to claim another victim
Distant right: Boxnoxox (blue) and Edrak (black). Box looks about ready to blow and Edrak is employing the good old fashioned, 'duck and cover'.
Distance: Gek (orange) Tex (green) Timelson (blue) Gek is inflated with helium and is floating away. Tex tried to save the day by holding on but is floating away too! Right now he's probably wondering if he's too high or not to let go. Timelson is finishing the job with a well aimed harpoon. It's over for Gex and he knows it!
