I drew this a long time ago actually, and in the process of inking the main character I was unsatisfied and gave up on it. So anywho, six days ago I looked at it again, and turned it into a picture. I hope you like it, and I hope that someone can punch jpegs in the face for making all my meticulously drawn textures blurry.
(ps, yes his tail is visible, I didn't know what kind of background I was going to have when drawing this.)

Yeah. Posting my image is my least favorite part of my drawing.
I go through all sorts of emotional stages during a drawing, but it always ends up in depression except for 3 previous pictures. It just looks so obviously degraded once I post it, and the fact I have to have that stupid watermark kills me. I do art for fun and the joy that comes with sharing it with others, but I can't do that if I intend to make a profit off my talent.

certainly, that's a dilemma all serious artists face
I wish people could see how nice my drawings look at various stages, scanning rapes sketches horribly and so many things along the way degrade the original idea, that's why I've liked working in full digital, but I need to wait till I get a better machine to keep that up ^^

Well this drawing is in full digital. The problem is the transfer from .PSD to JPEG is enough to strongly hurt the overall outcome. I don't think anyone on the outside can tell because they only see the JPEG version, but I worked with the .PSD version for 6 days, and it sucks to see all my efforts take a hit like that.
The reason I think I like my 3 other drawings so much more is that I spent very little time on them and in the end I didn't build this expectation or hatred of what I'm working on. If nothing else this drawing brought me closer to creating a more believable world...I think maybe next time I shouldn't make such a dark image. Not only does the quality decrease when uploading a drawing, but it actually makes my drawings darker.

ahhh certainly, getting a drawing done quickly is very satisfying, too long spent on one picture can, at best, raise your expectations of the final piece SO much, I should work on lower resolution canvases, so my work matches what's seen =/
eheh, still I'm having alot of problems working with traditional inking and digital colour, thankfully I'll be done with THAT once I get a newer computer

No, actually I just zoomed in really far on everything and squiggle here and dot there. Except for a few exceptions where I used noise and modified it, and or a brush made up of 5 or so pixels which helped me make random bumps much more quickly. My policy is that I never use a filter or something I don't personally and artistically have control over or its not my art.
