Private Stock is my personal choice when considering Morgan's. I don't care for the taste of the others in their selection. Nor am I a Bacardi fan either. Occasionally I drink Mount Gay Barbados and sometimes Myers's Dark. As for Sailor Jerry's...I don't like the taste of that either.
The one thing that I find curious is your condescending tone due to some "limit of rum finesse" as you claim. If you have choices that are better then do share them, but the way you come across in that reply was not taken as courteous, helpful or enlightening to what you would have suggested or recommended.

Well for me if I have a bit of rum I usually go with some of the Jamacan distileries and a few suprisingly from Mexico (I got a freind there that does his own home brew) but if I go with something specific I would recomend Pusers or Pirate rum... Pusers because it is a nice blend and until the 70s it was standard issue on British naval ships (hey over 400 years of being the British Navy's rum of choices they did something right) it has a nice blend and doubles up great for grog too.... Sorry if I was seeming condicending but I have experienced that kids today never realy experienced drinking like I did when I was a kid....
Forbe's writes, "Pusser's is still made the same way it was at the time of Trafalgar – in wooden pot-stills as opposed to modern industrial column-stills. This results in the most full-flavored, intense rum available anywhere."
I'll take your recommendation on the Pussers. Tried and true sounds good to me.
Now when you said "Pirate" did you mean Pyrat from the British West Indies of Anguilla?
Thank you for the suggested spirits. As for reading your tone incorrectly in your first reply it's okay. I just wanted to know your choices more than anything in addition to what you had to say. This being the internet and all it's too easy to misinterpret meaning and intent with so few words. What with the lack of inflection, tone and facial expression.
Thanks again and cheers.

Well for me I prefer a double or triple distilled reposado preferably from the high desert regions of mexico and for preference it varies from level and grade for what I want at the time.... If you want something basic I would recomend Corazon, I usually get the special stock when it's available but some of the lesser brands are good too...
I've yet to sample the Corazón. I've seen it on the shelf at some establishments.
Some of my favorite tequilas are: Corralejo Reposado, Cazadores Reposado, Don Julio Añejo and Patron Silver. There are others and I always look forward to new tequilas that are smooth and robust. I even enjoy a good pulque once in a while.

I don't have the head for drink, every time i try, i get quite sick the next day. Nonetheless, I still have a head full of piracy, I'm writing a story that was inspired by that game I invited you to play. :) With any luck I'll have the next chapter published here before christmas, it's been so busy.
I hope you feel better though, but sadly I go hugless, for I don't know the quote. :)
