If they were cops this would be a case of "good cop vs. hungry cop", but they're pirates so it's more like "vaguely friendly vs. definitely hungry". At least Jane can be trusted to keep her word about him getting a temp job that'll mostly keep him out of the captain's sight, but with Marianne she can be trusted to "forget" any usefulness he might have and eat him up. You -really- wouldn't imagine a crew being that loyal to their captain. Maybe it's more that Marianne doesn't give them the chance to respond for very long.

Aaaanyway this is another great commission from  sweatpants/leftover-takout, they are way too much fun to get stuff from hahaha
