this is a legendary-class weapon which was constructed for ephy, which means it is the only one of its kind.

The "long range precision" (LRP) tier of man-portable railguns, which are the highest rated tier for range and stopping power, have always been somewhat difficult to use constructively because of the massive energy cost in charging the gun's capacitors, which means that batteries simply arent an option, since any battery capable of charging the gun for even a single shot would have to be so massive it would be impossible to carry it around with the gun, and any more exotic methods of energy generation would be too expensive to mass produce, so the compromise is a one-off weapon like this. Lower tier railguns require much less power to fire due to their considerably smaller and lighter ammunition, and much lower muzzle velocity, so simpler methods of energy generation are viable.

the loop in the weapon's stock is a small, lightweight super solenoid engine, which accelerates antimatter at close to the speed of light around a superconducting track which, through a process called "inverted field loop antisenessence" is capable of generating an unlimited amount of usable energy for no cost (yes, infinite energy is impossible in the real world, im well aware |D) The S2 engine can produce approximately 1GW of energy at max output (about the output of a small hydroelectric dam!), meaning it requires somewhere between 10-20 seconds between each shot to fully recharge the capacitors to fire again, since the railgun requires around 11 million joules of stored energy to accelerate its ammunition to full speed.

the ammunition for this railgun consists of a 1-inch wide, 3-inch long uranium-238 (depleted uranium) bullet, tapered to a point at one end. a uranium slug this size has a mass of about 2.5 kilograms.

at full charge and in optimum conditions, this weapon has an effective range of about 8-11 miles depending on many factors in the earth's atmosphere, at a muzzle velocity of approximately 3000m/s (about Mach 9). at this speed, the uranium slug literally explodes on impact, with a force similar to about 2Kg of TNT, due to the extreme velocity, making it capable of single-handedly destroying huge pieces of military hardware in a single shot.
