I've mentioned in passing a few times that Keru is a machinist, so here's a glimpse of her taking a break during a workday. You can work up quite a thirst in a machine shop, so make sure to stay hydrated!
When working around any heavy machinery, and especially machine tools, it's important to avoid wearing any torn or loose clothing, and to secure long hair. When she's working, Keru always wears appropriate PPE and keeps her tail banded to her leg. On break, though, you've got to be able to relax!
It's just about time for a haircut in this piece, but Keru thinks she can wait another week or two before she gets tired of it being this long. ^_~

I always enjoy seeing art involving characters that work with machinery and the like, other than the totally unrealistic jobs that people make up XP
But this came out very nice! Keru looks like the type of gal that deserves that beer!
Also with all the safety talk, I'm surprised she's not wearing steeltoes

For sure! I think it can be a lot of fun to see anthros working jobs, and machinists don't seem to get all that much love.
I'm sure that bottle is reward for a job well done!
You've got me on the shoes! She would absolutely be wearing a good pair of steel-toed work boots on the shop floor. That's okay, though. ^^ For as much as my little description mentions safety gear, the prompt I suggested to Treats was more general in tone. Maybe some day I'll commission someone to draw Keru at a metal lathe with all the safety done up properly. I'd have to throw in a bit extra to put up with all the nitpicking, I'm sure. ^_~
