My coyotes, Tannis and Karpenter, were out hiking, when they were attacked by this monstrous creature. Whether an abomination of nature or the vanguard for an alien invasion, neither of the coyotes would live to spread a warning. With Tannis already dead and drained of his essence, Karpenter was now in the process of experiencing that same fate.

I absolutely love the look to the creature. The musculature, colors and textures all work beautifully to bring it to stunning life. The entire atmosphere works perfectly to capture such a powerful moment. the look to Tannis, with the creature's foot gripping around his lifeless body with that empty, hollow look in his eyes, is fantastic. And of course, having Karpenter's soul being sucked out of him, wonderfully foreshadows the fate of what's to come to any who cross the creature's path.
