So there's
the public restroom,
Bowser,
Johnny,
the beach,
and my room.
Using the shitty restroom to begin the video I sorta wanted to set the themes of seclusion and depravity. Being locked up in my room and unable to open the restroom lock kinda shows how I'm stuck in this dark to-myself place. Bowser is a play on the whole seclusion Game, and also I feel like he's a good monster to act as my monster.
I thought Johnny breaking into someone's room fit with the plot. My name's Jonathan. And like, with the beach, dude is sorta freaking out because he's out in the open. So he's spazzin. The Shining and The Beach are both the conflict of sorts. So at the end, when she stabs Johnny, it's like, "Nope. Not coming out yet."
Also, that's when Bowser gets struck with stars and falls into a lava pit, kinda wrapping up the video.
Some of it just looked cool to me. *Shrugs* I started the song a little after we spoke on Skype. I was looking for instruments for the other song then stumbled on Video game instrument VSTs... got carried away... hahaha.

Ah... I see it now! *Rimentus is not the brightest egg in the clutch. He is grey after all.* Been wondering how Jack Torrance fitted into the whole video. I had an inking Bowser played some kind of nightmare and gets 'beaten' by the end of the video. Looks really creative. Dig the 8-bit vibe too.
