Ninetales Variations - A Study
So I did a thing...
So what do we have here? Well, I've seen all kinds of cool variations popping up here and there and I thought, hey, why not do one of my own! Then I had the bright idea to combine it with a similar idea to this: http://mewitti.deviantart.com/art/I.....gy-I-434965451
It's an idea I've really loved and thought I should get in on. Well, I'm not overly proud of the result, but I think it came out rather well regardless!
Alas, yes. This is not real. I'm just really good with photo editing, actually l3
If there's enough interest, I might actually release the original images of this stuff. And hey, perhaps even more~ Another species to do variations of, maybe? Give ideas, or even give critique on this piece! I'd love to know how to do it better :3
Either way. Enjoy!

Honestly? This is excellent, I'm more then a little impressed. I dare care to venture an opinion that this is a bit beyond the usual in these fascination variations pictures and it's definitely a delight to see a little scientific reasoning and a little lore inserted in such an enjoyably consistent thematic presentation.
Pretty cool. ^.^
Pretty cool. ^.^
There's always the argument that everything we see is a reinterpretation of previous stimuli and that it's reinterpretation itself that is personal and unique. I'd say this one is pretty boss. ^.^
Y'know, I particularly liked the young Ninetales one. That's a thought I've always had; If a Vulpix lacks for a stone, it probably just takes a lot longer. Like, far too long for a human trainer, kind of long. I've personally ran with that canon... and honestly, just seeing that potential transitional stage is interesting.

A good idea! I know that Cory has done one (https://www.weasyl.com/~cory/submissions/890645/umbreon-variations) and it's a popular Pokémon that I've no doubt that they're all over the place by many others :P
I've no current plans to go back and do another variation compilation like this one, but I'll certainly keep Umbreon in mind if I ever do~
