Type: Dark/Water (One of the few breeds with a second type)

Basic description: Found in deep seas these darkrai had developed an extraordinary ability to see in pitch darkness. They are known to hunt creatures in the deep not only for their dreams but for their meat. They are silent up until it it’s too late for prey to escape. They can ‘melt’ into the water much like a vaporeon but this only causes them to become a black mist in the water, making it even harder to see them unless at the surface.

Sometimes they hunt near the surface, more then likely towards beaches and piers, in order to grab unsuspecting prey and drag them to the bottom of the the ocean where they would drown them. It is unusual to see them at the surface.

Known to be called the ‘dark mermaids of the sea’ they are usually docile until they’re either hunting or during their breeding seasons. They prefer to be left alone and will flee at the slightest hint of danger to themselves.
