The heart of the flute is it's totem and the totem for this flute is a cheetah. The totem was cut from a block of leopard wood hand sanded filed and finished then joined to a block of the cedar for a base the pattern is in the wood itself. And I could see the cheetah in the wood before I ever cut it free.
