The Bubblegum Wolves 2
“Alright, everyone!” Schackenhausen screamed, “After that… Huge party we had last night, we’re now going to have to clean up the entire field! Now everyone get to work!” The wolves all gathered into order and started cleaning: Picking things up, mopping, sweeping and so forth. “Ugh, this is so boring!” said our hero Carol to her friend Wendy, “Let’s get out of here!” “They’d find us, wouldn’t they?” asked Wendy, “Hmm… Maybe… But not if we go far, far away!” replied Carol. With much hesitation, Wendy decided to go along with her, and they left the field.
“Ugh!” Wendy cried, “Are we there yet?!” “Hmm…” Carol looked around. “I honestly don’t know where we are” Wendy screamed. “YOU WHAT?! Oh my God we are lost forever. We’re going to have to spend the rest of our lives eating nuts and poisonous berries and we’ll die!” “Calm down, Wendy!” exclaimed Carol, “We’ll make it out of here alive. We’ll just have to keep walking” Wendy sighed, and they went on.
After a few more hours Wendy was about to completely give out, when Carol spotted something in the distance. “Wendy, look over there!” she cried. “Oh my God! Civilization! We’ll be okay!” She started dashing her way to the city, and Carol chased her. Getting a closer look, they found out that the city was big and bustling, with neon lights flashing here and there, huge, tall buildings, lots of cars and people walking down the sidewalk. “Maybe we should find a place to rest for the night…” Carol said. Wendy nodded and they found a hotel, but the man at the front desk told them animals are not allowed in the building. They got sad and walked out. They tried every single hotel in the city, but none of them would allow them inside. The sun was going down, and they finally gave up trying to find warm shelter. Sometime later they were walking down an alley, when their legs gave up and they collapsed to the ground. There they found a large box on the pavement. Wendy was barely even conscious, when Carol’s gasp caught her off guard “Wendy! Look at this!” She looked and she saw big rainbow things that looked like bricks. Carol gave them a good sniff, it smelled sweet! “Mmm… Candy…” she said, and she immediately put one in her mouth and chewed. “That’s disgusting!” Wendy said, “Why would you eat a brick?” “I don’t think this is a brick…” Carol replied, “It’s chewy and sweet and delicious! Give it a try!” Wendy looked at the bricks for a while, then took one and slowly bit down on it, making a dent in it. Finding its flavor to be quite delicious, she started chewing at an absurdly fast rate, along with Carol. With no hesitation, they swallowed the candy, and they both burped loudly. “Oh my goodness, Wendy, that was even better than the bubblegum!” said Carol, “I know, right?” said Wendy; “It was the best thing I’ve ever had!” Carol started to look a little sick. “Wendy… I don’t feel so good…” Only a second later, she started to hiccup. After a bit of hiccupping Wendy noticed that there was a bubble beginning to come out of her mouth. Suddenly she felt odd too, and started hiccupping as well, making another bubble appear. In between hiccups, they started to laugh, and they hugged. Soon the bubbles were over 20 feet in diameter, and they were filling the alley they were in. “Let’s (hic) go back to the field to show them our (hic) bubbles” Carol said. Wendy nodded “And let’s show them the (hic) rainbow bricks too” They both giggled and went back their way, holding their tails together.
They could smell the smell of the gum that was ever so popular in the pack, and they remembered the way they went to the city, so they knew exactly where they were going this time. Once they reached their desired location, the bubbles were both 100 feet each.
“Hey,” said a wolf, “How are those bubbles rainbow?” “Well…” Carol began, “We found these (hic) special bricks of (hic) gum, and they taste like fruit punch!” The wolves looked into the box, and sniffed the bricks. Then they put them in their mouths and chewed. Once again, their mouths were watering and they were moaning in pleasure. A little while later they began to blow their own bubbles. But Carol’s and Wendy’s bubbles started growing even bigger, until it was over a thousand feet in diameter. Finally after a lot of commotion, alpha Schackenhausen came back out. “Wait, what? This isn’t Bubblegum Day—“ Before he could speak another word, he was enveloped in Carol’s bubble. The other wolves cheered, behind their bubbles. Soon both Carol’s and Wendy’s bubbles covered the entire area above the field, covering tens of miles, and the other wolves kept blowing their bubbles, which were already thousands of feet. As time went by, all of their bubbles got bigger and bigger, and before anyone could know it, Carol’s and Wendy’s bubbles were the size of the entire planet, each, and the other wolves’ bubbles were thousands of miles in diameter. Soon, Wendy was starting to get really exhausted, so without even announcing it, she took out her claws and poked them into the bubble, causing an extremely loud BANG! This loud sound caused all the wolves that were blowing bubbles to lose concentration, and all their bubbles popped too, causing the entire planet to be covered in rainbow gum. Everyone was completely silent for a while, until Carol started to chuckle. Before anyone could know it, all the wolves were laughing like they were insane. This was the best day anyone could ever have, they thought.
Actually rather subtle moral: Chew slowly and carefully, unless you like huge bubbles…
