Ahahah, though it's probably just paint. The houses in this story are largely based on the kind of houses we had on the island where I grew up (Read: this and this ). They're made of granite & built in a way that isolates weather, so they're very sturdy. I'd imagine living in the mountains like that would require a house that can take a beating @w@

Dude they are so pretty. Most of the time they're super small as well, so you'll just see a town with these little cute doll houses in a vast array of colours
Cottage-y type houses are also great though - they have such a homely feel to them. Idk what it is about them, but imo being in one just makes you feel so safe.

Ahahah, I'd imagine they felt that way. The cable car is a new addition to this part of the land, and he keeps forgetting that it's there and goes the long way around several weeks after. Imagine the "UGH" factor
