The thing is, we don't know its true and we probably never will. I am fine with not knowing.
I liked his art regardless. Hes dead. Why can't we just let it go? It doesn't matter. The only
people who care are those who hate on him. Fuck giving them ammo. And I happen to know
that Jim wouldn't have wanted it to come out even if it was true. He was very private and we
as fans should respect that.

If you are going to talk to me at least have the courtesy to unblock me so I can reply.
Otherwise you're just being a coward.

And what proof do we have that Desiree Lee really was another person who just so happened to draw in exact carbon copy of Jim's art style? What proof do we have she existed? There was never any actual information about any Desiree Lee living in same area as Jim. There were no photos of her, besides one single picture with terrible resolution which was very likely, given this reveal, just been simply lifted off of Google Image search. No one ever actually saw her, and the few of Jim's closest friends who claimed they did have, as pointed out above by bunnyman, confirmed that it was just Jim's alter ego.
Besides, haters can hate all they want, Jim won't can't exactly care anymore, God rest his soul.

There have been several people over the years who have disproved this theory. If you really LOOK at the details of each piece of art you will see subtle differences. Hardiman's edges are sharp. Des Lees were rounded. Hardiman drew in a more realistic style. Des Lees stuff was more cartoonish. But like I said before, its just art and the man is dead. Why is it so hard for people to just let it go? It doesn't matter.
Its just art.
As for there being no proof that Des Lee exists, well. There are plenty of people who have never been online. Does that mean they don't exist? No. Of course it doesn't. And thats fine. People are allowed to have their privacy. I mean personally I would get a kick out of Des Lee popping up one day just to tell
off everyone who talks shit about her. But you and me both know all Jim's haters would still deny that
she is who she claims she is. Obsession is a bitch.

Just wanted to point out that new artwork from Bulletsoup was posted onto e621.net two years ago: https://e621.net/post/show/1057986/.....ot-black_and_w
So as I previously stated he is not James Hardiman. Oh and a user on e621.net left a comment on the post pointing out how BS has been chatting with another user on inkbunny named caracalla55 in his shout box. If BS was Hardiman then how could caracalla55 be talking to him?
Not to mention Jim's own mother Pauline said that he never used aliases online.

I just want to say I recently found out that Jim was actually Des Lee. I didn't want to believe it but I'm afraid its true.
I am extremely disappointed to find this out. I know Jim liked to keep things private but lying to his fans for over 20 years
is a bit much for me. I am a little bit disgusted with him right now and I don't know what to do with my feelings.

I didn't know Jim, but I don't doubt that. His many journals and comments on FurAffinity were well-written and frequently amusing.
Far from being angry at Jim for his years-long multiple identities, I rather admire him: it's a sustained and elaborate fake-out even Andy Kaufman and Sacha Baron Cohen would be proud of.
But, just as it's important to realise that (for example) Stan Lee didn't create and write all the Marvel Comics characters on his own, people should be made aware of Jim's prank, however clever as it all was. When the magician departs the stage for the final time, the audience has the right to unpick his tricks.
Some say it's an obsession, that it doesn't matter -- I say, how can the truth not matter? How can the truth not be important?
Sorry to vent here. You've done a great deal of good in posting Jim's art, as well as Robert Hill's. Despite their -- shall we say -- eccentricities, they deserve to be remembered.
