Admittedly, I thought this would be ten parts, but I couldn't find a good point to split it so TOO BAD YOU GET A DOUBLE-SIZED FINALE! I'm curious how you guys feel about the answer, actually. When writing this I couldn't tell if the resolution felt right, so I guess I'll leave that up to the audience.
This was still a fun story to write and I enjoyed it greatly.
KickahaOta is a great customer and I love writing for him. He has good ideas and is great with feedback and bouncing stuff off. Just sorry it took me so long to finish this!

I really like this story. As for the explanation at the end... I LOVE IT! Honestly, the idea that of Heaven making a clerical error could cause something like this is a wonderfully delightful TF explanation. And honestly, the idea that the bureaucracy of the Heavens is just so disconnected from Earth that no one notices all the furies walking around... just priceless. Mind you, it will eventually fall apart when it comes time for the auditors to come in.
But yeah, wonderful writing. Hope Kickahaota loves it.

Glad ya liked it! The "reveal" with Wend was based on something Kick said during development. He requested that "Wendel" get a wolf's head. This was due to a) Kick picturing a werewolf as having a more human face than I was (since I pictured it as already being a wolf's head) and b) saying Wendel when he meant Simon. I ran with it anyway. Sort of.
Hmm... but what about the gene pool and genetic compatibility? I imagine all people altered to have been treated by the therapy were childless in the original timeline. Also, this kinda solves the issue of custom fit items for Simon because now they should be commonplace or sold in their own niche shops. Anyways, this was an unexpected ending, not the most climatic one, but still a totally solid one!
