Yah. so I was watching some of the vids were people record how they draw/color stuff, and well. I wanted to try new-ish coloring style, or at least as much as I could get. I'ma finish this eventually, I hope. Maybe. o.o
Yar, most of this is still unfinished though. o.o;

...Wow. Now this is a really cool picture..
A friend of mine and I happened to look at it and thought it was a zombie like lion. This was mainly due to the fur tone at first. (And of course because we were also playing Left 4 Dead. So it kind of rolled over onto this, ironically enough.)
But after some looking at this again..I happen to think this is pretty damn good as well.. first of all, it's a colored in..amazingly well. Saying this while looking at the hair, which you have shaded in such a way that it happens to look like it's bronze. I mean, it's kind of.. a brown color, but with the shading you did to it and the shine placed upon it by the lighter color, it's.. like it's metallic to some degree. And that's pretty appealing. Well that and he's a lion. That's also another thing that's naturally a thing that catches my attention.
However, as a lion..he doesn't have that 'traditional' hair mane or that muscular physique that most have. ..As a matter of factly, unless you read the custom tags and description (which damn near no one on this site really does anymore..) then you wouldn't know unless told. That's a cool idea because it's showing innovation..staying away from the typical mode and stereotype y'know?
I can respect that.
How you have the coloration around the face is just...WOW. When I look at it..due to how it's being shadowed by the hair, it looks like it's.. damn near a skin texture. I mean aside from that highlight on his cheek to show that you know..due to the anatomy of the skull there's an index, it'd just look like a zombie like human being rather than a lion. (As the skull of a lion is different that the skull of a human of course) Another thing that stands out here? The eyes. Definitely the eyes.
The eyes..here have a really..calming why they were colored. It's probably because they're violet that I happen to find them as soothing as they are (As it happened to be 2 in the morning when I wrote all this, so deep colors= peaceful) The way that it's dark at the top and has that..gradual way of going to the lighter color as you go down is...really nice.
In something of a 'soothing, meditative reminder to go to bed' type of way at this very moment.
..seriously speaking..this picture is..pretty cool to me. And I mean that. Sorry if this is a bit long to have said all that but..looks like you put a lot of time and effort into making this, So I figure it'd be nice to put just a little bit of that into actually saying something about it.
...I just feel it kind of sucks to spend so much time on something cool like this just to get a single line that says a bunch of nothing.

Well I happen to like what I like. And tell people what it is that I like about it. (As just saying "good job" and one lining it doesn't work for me. I mean, it's like.....not me. It's like... not even looking at the picture.
Secondly, thank you for responding. And I mean that. Because apparently people stopped giving a damn about actually doing it. Kind of lets me know that I'm not just wasting my time in doing it.
Would have said this sooner but I only get off days on the weekends, what with being online being stopped by me having to go to work. (Source of income and all kind of being a bit more important y'know?)
Still, thanks. And I mean that.
