"Oh, don't cry! Very few people are able to win this little game of mine, and, futile as it was, you did your best. You'll like being my slave, trust me! You'll be just fine."
Very few people realize that while Hellfarch loves to terrorize his victims and everyone around him, he never causes any real harm to anyone. The demon has learned over a very long life the value of mortal left healthy and (relatively) happy, and he finds that leaving people unhurt works out for the best in the long run and doesn't end up getting him repeatedly sealed in a magic box for thousands of years.
He would never outright say this to anyone, of course, as a victim fearing for their life is often a fun victim. However, sometimes his prey will break down completely into tears, and that just takes the fun out of things, so Hellfarch will occasionally console his soon-to-be slaves with gentle words and a silver tongue.
This is a lovely piece done by
SillyWerWolf, whom you may recognize as the recipient of a bust I sculpted a while back! I asked him for a request in return, and he drew scene showing a softer side of my character.
