Captain (that's Army Captain, not Navy Captain) Nathaniel Moor is one of Tirin's ancestors. Long story short he went from being a simple frontier farmer to leading a company of riflemen and skirmishers in the Continental Army during the American Revolution. Of course he bought his own uniform, hence the non-standard colors!
