Looks like Contrail's momma has finally got her wings back. Cloudsdale scientists have developed a special pack that can enable a pegasus to fly without their wings. Using highly concentrated cider fuel cells, the compact motor drives two propellers, each in their own nacelles. The power output of the motor works alongside the pegasi's passive magical ability to fly, so it doesn't have enough power to lift heavy earth ponies. More powerful models might be needed for larger pegasi, but this particular model works perfectly for the tiny little Phoebe. Contrail recommended the ducted propeller design, and also was part of the development team for the propellers themselves. This particular prototype even has simple little variable pitch blades with self-adjusting capabilities, though this addition for future models would probably be a bit expensive and optional.

Contrail is also flying a prototype himself. A scale airframe of a future cargo carrying aeroplane. The final version would be roughly twice the size and probably employ a more powerful set of powerplants.

But what really matters here is Phoebe being at home in the sky again ^w^
