Unfortunately, the high demand for this particular type of magic concoction has enticed more than one crafty alchemist to adulterate their products with all sorts of left-over ingredients and substances to satisfy this ever-growing market. Nowadays, trying to boost one´s mana pool with a potion procured from a shady source is always a dangerous gamble, and one has to be warry of the plethora of strange and unusual side effects that an unlucky mage might experience after downing one of these nefarious cocktails...".
